The Wabasha County DAC currently has a full time position open for Production Manager of the DAC work component.

Production Manager-  Starting at $23.00 - $25.00/Hour

General Responsibilities:
•    Conduct shall always meet high professional standards, including confidentiality, co-worker relations, cooperation, and teamwork.
•    Maintain a Class B commercial driver’s license with passenger assistance endorsement and be available for a regular bus route, driving for field trips, and to job sites.
•    Perform all responsibilities designated by the Executive Director.
•    Participate in public relation efforts when possible.
•    Take charge of the DAC operations in the absence of the Executive Director as needed.
Coordination, supervision, and management of the DAC work crew at Cardinal Health:
•    Assist the Cardinal Health designated coordinator in establishing and implementing a coordinated service support plan addendum (CSSPA) for clients scheduled in the Work Component.
•    Plan and supervise all work at Cardinal Health.
•    Plan and develop work stations and projects to maximize each client’s potential work ability.
•    Assign client workers and staff to the various work areas.
•    Maintain Work Component materials and equipment with particular attention to safety.
•    Develop and submit bids for procuring work at Cardinal Health.
•    Organize and execute time studies for each new job contract to establish piece rates, seeing that these are re-evaluated every year.
•    Maintain inventory of all supplies for contract jobs, ordering more supplies or materials when necessary.
•    Re-evaluate clients’ production percentages quarterly.
•    Submit time cards to the office daily.
•    Supervise and evaluate all DAC staff and employees assigned to Cardinal Health.
•    Complete specification sheets on contract work showing accurate count and lot number of all products packed for the company.
•    Complete and submit required documentation to Cardinal Health.
•    Ensure compliance with the Federal Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division.
•    Report to the Executive Director all accidents as soon as possible.
•    Supervise temporary production workers.


Oversight of the DAC workroom and community based employment:
•    Establish and implement a quality Work Component with a curriculum designed to teach work responsibilities, work skills, work activity, pre-vocational training, and community based employment.
•    Oversee the DAC work room and Employment Supports room in submission of work bids and procurement of community employment opportunities.
•    Oversee that the DAC workroom complete time studies for each new job contract to establish piece rates, seeing that these are re-evaluated every year.
•    Oversee that the DAC work room maintains inventory of all supplies for contract jobs, ordering more supplies or materials when necessary.
•    Ensure compliance with the Federal Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division.
•    Assist the Executive Director with Federal DOL Community Rehabilitation Program certification.

Fostering an environment of growth for the clients served by the DAC:
•    Coordinate the work component with all other DAC activities i.e. picnics, holiday celebrations, birthday celebrations, field trips, etc.
•    Serve in a team teaching effort in regards to total programming, socialization, and recreational activities.
•    Respect client’s rights, especially the right of confidentiality.
•    Assist clients with personal needs, including wheelchair transfers.
•    Know the procedures for client first aid, fire, and other emergencies.
•    Know rules and regulations pertaining to the DAC and follow all agency policies.
•    Take responsibility for personal and professional growth and development.

 

We are looking for an individual to fill a full time position with us. You will join a fun and upbeat team 8:00a-4:00p Monday through Friday. No nights and no weekends.
